How to get rid of acne or pimples, naturally?
When I was in high school, I started having pimples on my face, therefore, I did everything to get rid of it, just like applying creams, soaps, medications prescribed by my Dermatologist. As time went on, it was getting worst. And it put my confidence down.
However, I started reading informative books that will help me remove my problem due to acne. The good news is that there are ways to prevent and treat common skin problems naturally, just read for some tips.
These tips help me a lot, and I am confident to share this with people who are suffering the same problem like me too.
Natural way to get rid of Acne
1. Wash your face with warm water
Washing your face with warm water will help your pores open, helping you get the dirt out from your pores. You can use mild soap with your warm water. You can also do the warm compress if you are comfortable doing it. To make a warm compress, soak a clean washcloth in hot water; make sure the water isn't too hot to avoid burning your skin. Then, apply the warm compress to the pimple for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this three to four times daily until the pimple releases pus and heals. DON'T pop, squeeze or pick at the blemish.
2. Wash your face with cold water
After washing your face with warm water it's better if you rinse your face with cold water because it will help close your pores preventing dirt to accumulate. Doing so gets rid of impurities such as dirt, debris, and bacteria, leaving skin clean and refreshed.
3. Apply ice to your face
You can do ice facials by rolling four or five ice cubes in a soft cotton cloth. They then recommend using the covered ice cubes to gently massage your face with circular motions for a minute or two. Using skin icing to treat acne can slow down inflammation and minimize skin pores to reduce excessive oil production.
You can make your ice cubes with ingredients too, ice cube doesn't have to be frozen water only. You can replace the water in your ice cubes with other ingredients such as aloe vera and green tea. Another thing that I find helpful is that it is inexpensive, it's easy to do, it's widely covered on the internet, it's natural, non-chemically based and it's presented as a logical, sensible practice.
4. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits
This tip has a greater contribution because it will be the best cleaner in your body as a whole. Several studies suggest that following a healthy diet can help prevent and treat acne. Specifically, foods rich in the following nutrients are linked to lower levels of acne: complex carbohydrates, zinc, vitamins A and E, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants.
I suggest that you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables more than you eat meats and other unhealthy diets.
5. Drink water frequently
I did try drinking water a lot until I noticed my pee turns to look like water. I didn't get alarmed because there's no way it will stay on my body forever instead it helps me feel fresh. My sweat turns not to be bad in odor compared to not drinking a lot of water before.
Study shows that in preventing pimples and acne, there are certain kinds of toxins will clog your small pores on your epidermis and can cause issues like acne and pimples. By drinking more water, you ensure that you won't suffer from severe pimples and acne. The more hydrated your skin, the less your pores will clog.
6. Activated charcoal remedy
If you're looking for a natural acne remedy, activated charcoal may help by removing bacteria and other impurities from your pores. Controls oiliness. By removing dead skin cells and absorbing excess oil, activated charcoal may help give your skin a healthy glow without too much shine.
This method helps I tell you, not just for acne but for several problems you experience in health. I admit that the first time I tried, I could hardly drink the whole thing because it doesn't taste good. Even though I find it distasteful, I continued until I see changes.
7. Sleep early
Nowadays, this method is hard to achieve because there's a lot of things that hindered us to sleep early, you can name many. But, if you challenge yourself that doing this and so, will help you achieve your goal that may be a change of mindset.
8. Exercise helps
This last tip, of course, it's hard to do because this needs consistency. And sometimes consistency to me is tiresome. What I did, I chose walking as a basic method of exercise and happy to share that it is not just helping you get rid of acne but this helps also save money. It kind of ironic but it helps me reach home without spending money on transportation.
You might ask how can this method helps get rid of acne. Well, as you know when you do exercise it releases sweat on your pores. And that helps you remove all the toxins in the different parts of your body not just in your face. It sounds unfair right that your face is the one suffering! So, don't let that happens.
